Transfer Enterprises owner receives distinguished award for continued support of the State of CT Department of Veteran Affairs

Matthew Egan and Allen Lawton, Jr., Co-Owners of Transfer Enterprises, Inc. in Manchester, CT and proud Veterans of the United States Air Force and United States Marine Corps., respectively, receive distinguished award from Commissioner Sean Connolly for their continued support of the State of CT Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
Allen Lawton Jr., a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran from Bolton who started a furniture business with partner Matthew Egan with 20% of his employees are Veterans and 5% of that being disabled Veterans. Mr. Lawton has donated furniture to the Rocky Hill Veterans’ Home and also generous funding and items needed by some of the residents at the facility. While serving with the Connecticut Army National Guard Mr Lawton started a program in Manchester for homeless teens to gather in the armory for a Christmas dinner, presents, games and music. ANNUAL WISHES ON WHEELS TRUCK CONVOY

Transfer Enterprises and their Peterbuilt truck participated in the convoy of trucks that departed from Rentschler field on September 13th, 2015. The event has become an annual tradition that make many local Make-A-Wish kids look forward to the Wishes on Wheels Convoy each year!
