If you’re shopping for ergonomic office chairs in Connecticut, you’ve probably noticed the same problem everywhere: big-box stores carry a handful of generic options, and true ergonomic brands are usually only sold through commercial dealers. At Transfer Enterprises, we carry both new and pre-owned chairs from brands like Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Humanscale — all inspected, refurbished where needed, and ready to ship or pick up from our Manchester, CT showroom.
Here’s a range of ergonomic chairs currently in stock, covering a few different needs and budgets.
Steelcase Amia: Best for Everyday Task Use
The Amia is one of our most popular task chairs. Its LiveLumbar® system and fully adjustable 4D arms make it easy to get proper support at a standard desk, and it’s rated for users up to 400 lbs. Every unit we sell is reupholstered in new commercial-grade fabric.

Herman Miller Aeron Classic: Best for All-Day Comfort
If you’re at your desk eight-plus hours a day, the Aeron is worth the investment. The Pellicle mesh seat and back breathe well over long stretches, and the pneumatic height adjustment, tilt limiter, tilt tension control, and height-adjustable arms let you fine-tune the fit. We carry both a version with adjustable lumbar support and a lighter-weight version without it.

Humanscale Liberty: Best Budget-Friendly Option
The Liberty is the easiest chair on this list to use well — there’s no lumbar dial or tension knob to adjust. Its form-sensing backrest automatically adapts to your weight and movement, and the contoured seat holds up over long stretches. At $299, it’s real ergonomic support without a learning curve or a big price tag.

Classic Comfort Stacking Chair: Best for Conference Rooms & Training Spaces
Not every space needs a full task chair. For conference rooms, training rooms, or classrooms, the Classic Comfort Stacking Chair gives you built-in lumbar support and a waterfall seat edge in a durable, stackable design — useful if you need to store chairs between uses. It’s available in multiple seat heights.
