1992 – Present

In 1992 Transfer Enterprises began as a veteran-owned service company with two toolboxes and two pickup trucks. Throughout the years the company grew from decommissions and service work to a full refurbish shop to accommodate our customers. With 33 years of experience designing, building, and installing furniture Transfer Enterprises has grown into one of the largest remanufacturers on the East Coast and are one of the three furniture businesses in CT that Hold the State Contract.

Similar to most small businesses that were faced to navigate through Covid and the broken supply chain we were forced to look outside of the box to maintain our customers expectations and deadlines. After manufacturing polycarbonate shields and cubicle extensions for companies and municipalities all across the U.S. it was apparent the added activity from this expansion became a valuable part of our business.

After much consideration, we opted to expand our manufacturing with furniture. After one year of planning, preparing, and waiting for our CNC machines to arrive we were ready to jump into the deep end and manufacture. The goal was to produce orders with American and North American raw materials and exceed the level of quality and design on the current market while providing our customers with aggressively priced new furniture by eliminating the middle process.

With our attention and focus being primarily on Laminate case goods and desks we were challenged by one of our long-standing customers to design, engineer, and build a line of Behavioral Health and Dorm Room furniture. Our programmer and CNC department exceeded all expectations and we are proud to offer this line. As an American based company, we are proud to be Manufacturing in our facility out of Manchester, CT, and look forward to many more years of building quality furniture.
